Privacy Policy

Last updated:

AL Sadat Ghayas Dastarkhuwan Welfare Organization ("we", "us", "our") respects the privacy of donors, volunteers, beneficiaries and website visitors. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us:

  • Donation records: your name, contact number, email, transfer reference, amount, and program allocation.
  • Volunteer records: name, contact, area of residence, preferred role, availability.
  • Beneficiary records: household details necessary to verify eligibility (household size, income status, dependents, area, contact number). These are collected in person by verified field staff and stored securely.
  • Website interactions: if you submit a form on this site, we receive the information you enter.

2. How we use it

  • To process donations, issue receipts and thank you.
  • To match volunteers with roles and shifts.
  • To verify and support beneficiaries fairly.
  • To send occasional updates about our work, if you have opted in.
  • To comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations in Pakistan.

3. Photographs of beneficiaries

We do not publish identifying photographs of beneficiaries without their explicit consent. Where photographs of families are used publicly, faces of children are blurred by default and only clear photographs of consenting adults are shared.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We may share limited information with:

  • Our banking and payment partners, as required to process donations.
  • Our external auditors, under confidentiality obligations, for annual audit.
  • Government or regulatory bodies, where required by Pakistani law.

5. Data retention

Donation and financial records are retained for at least seven years for audit and tax purposes. Volunteer records are retained while you are active plus one year. Beneficiary records are retained while enrolled plus two years, then archived.

6. Security

Records are kept in access-controlled digital and physical systems. Only authorised staff can access personal records. No system is perfectly secure, but we take practical measures to minimise risk.

7. Your rights

You can request:

  • A copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction of anything that is inaccurate.
  • Deletion of your record where retention is no longer required by law.
  • To unsubscribe from any communications at any time.

Email info@alsadatghayas.org to make a request.

8. Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies. If we introduce analytics in the future (e.g. anonymous visit counts), we will update this policy and, where required, request consent.

9. Third-party links

Our site links to social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp). Their privacy practices are their own — we recommend you review their policies separately.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the change. Substantive changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 14 days.
